Last night, I made the mistake of dozing on the couch rather than going to bed. After an hour, I was wide awake. Still awake around 2 am, I heard a spooky sound (appropriate, I guess, as we approach Halloween). First, there was a low-pitched "Whooo....who who who", followed by a higher pitched echo. Yup, it sounds like there are owls in the neighborhood. Now that I know, I'll keep my eyes peeled for them.
